Side Bump, 28 weeks, 3 days

By popular demand (from all 3 of you) - and because I am a dolt who clearly didn't read the memo or take the cue from literally-every-other-pregnant-woman-on-the-interwebs, here is the much asked for SIDE SHOT:

Please note the very attractive dog bed in the background, the unmade human bed in the foreground and
the totally awkward placement of my left hand. Ansel Adams over here.

P.S. While I was off folding countless dinosaur onesies gifted by my in laws being a bad, neglectful blogger, it appears the rest of you were getting knocked up. Huge congrats to Sadie at Invincible Spring and Kimberly at No Good Eggs!

  2. Haha. The hand placement is 1 inch away from being obscene. You might as well have pulled a Miley on us. A 6.5 month (or is it 7?!) pregnant crotch grabbing Miley pic. Luckily, you were one inch north, and so you are okay.

You are hilarious as ever. And awfully cute when pregnant (probably also while not pregnant, but I don't know for sure, because I've never seen you any other way). Someday we should meet up in your city with our babes. Think twins like trains?

  4. Isn't it weird?? I never know where to put my hand. Although, the farther along you get the more you feel you are holding a baby and not just molesting yourself.

    Anyhow, you look great!!

  5. You look much more pregnant from the side!
My husband takes weekly bump photos of me, and I find them very awkward. I never know if my hand is in the right place (too high will cover the bump, too low looks slightly inappropriate). That plus my awkward photo smile makes a lovely picture.
    You look great!!!

  6. Cute picture! You've got a lovely bump.
Where to place the hand(s) was always strange. I did wear a tank-top, so I didn't have to hold down my shirt/dress to show the bump, but my husband had a hard time taking a simple photo once I was ready. WE've got pictures of me smiling, not smiling, hands up, down, out and even butt shots (if I didn't delete them). LOL

  7. Yeah, that's more like it. That is one lovely little bump.

I hope to soon be following in your footsteps and sporting one of my own. Thanks for the shout out, you're too sweet!

  8. Yayyy!! Wow, that's an impressive bump -- you look great. And I know, the cradling-the-belly thing can be an awkward pose, but you kinda have to do it when you're wearing a dress for accentuation purposes. I still can't get over how in love I am with your floors...

    1. I love that 90% of your comments are wood-floor-envy. I can say it's one of the benefits - and, ahem, there are some expensive downsides - to owning a 100 year old home in new england. But I'll take it!

  9. Thanks everyone for your positive side-bump feedback - I think I've finally got this side bump angle down. Minus the crotch grab.
